Tribute to Mrs. Boadi

Habakkuk 2:2 “Write the vision, make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it”. The year is 2021. A couple has been transferred from their initial post of service at North Kaneshie in Accra —the capital of Ghana — to a rather remote town in the Central Region of the country. The town is Agona- Otsenkorang. The couple is Mr. Solomon Boadi, a Pastor of the Church of Pentecost and his wife, Mrs. Rebecca Boadi. The protagonist in this anecdote, Mrs. Boadi is a staunch supporter of education and its accessibility to all. Her new home in Otsenkorang exposes her to numerous challenges faced by the townsfolk. She decides to turn one of such challenges into projects. One classic project is her annual project of providing financial support to deserving students who lack the requisite funds to sponsor their education. This project has so far supported the senior high education of eight needy students in the town. Consumed with the passion of changing lives, she observes and notes down several other obstacles to the education of children in her area. On her bucket list of priorities, she tucks in ‘ One Child, One Shoe Initiative’. She prays over it and lives in expectation thereafter. After her prayers, she thought to share her ideas and projects with some friends, well-wishers hoping that they would partner with her. In May 2025, there appears Samaritan’s Feet Ghana bearing good tidings of Hope and Joy. Through their SHOES OF HOPE project, about 5000 World shoes are distributed to needy school children in Otsenkorang on (Fix date Again). This telepathic act is indeed to Mrs Boadi, a prayer answered by God. She described it as ‘an unexpected blessing’. She notes that while it is possible to spearhead change by oneself, it is even more potent when collaboration with like-minded people happens. For us at Samaritan’s Feet Ghana, it remains a privilege and honor in our bid to eliminate shoelessness among Ghana’s rural communities. As schoolchildren looked jubilant on our arrival, our partners and team of volunteers couldn’t help but feel it all over again: that sense of responsibility in addressing societal challenges and bringing hope to many all over the world. About 5000 shoes were distributed among the school boys and girls on May x, 2025. Teachers were visibly ecstatic as they partook in the feet washing exercise, praying for these dear little ones. Transforming Lives. In Mrs. Boadi’s observations, the impact of our shoe distribution has been profound and its results are palpable. The children’s faces light up when she and her husband show up. They affectionately yell their names out loud ‘ Pastor’ or ‘Osofomaame! * whenever they pass by. Indeed, Pastor and Mrs. Boadi assert that their experience with Samaritan’s Feet Ghana has reinforced their commitment to serving their community by making indelible contributions that will make a difference in the lives of young ones and seniors alike.
